Amazon Prime Video has published the first preview of the new version of the popular comedy show, Takeshi Castle (風雲！たけし城) .

This TV show brightened up the after-dinner hours of millions of viewers both in Japan and abroad.

The Tests

In the preview of the new version of the program, several of the mythical tests of the previous version appear:

• The hamburgers.
• The labyrinth of the chinotaur.
• The ironing board.
• The small wall of China.
• The killer mushroom.
• The gates of panic.
• The Nakasone cannons.
  

There are also other tests that seem to be taken directly from SASUKE (Takeshi Castle’s successor program).

The new edition

In the previous edition, 100 contestants competed to reach Takeshi’s castle and fight him. In this version, there will be 4 castles to defeat, each with its own boss.

In this new edition, Takeshi and General Tani return. Unfortunately, the other members of the previous show will not appear due to age issues.

As compensation, we will see the comedy duo “Bananaman” (バナナマン) as Takeshi’s henchmen, as well as other Japanese comedians and celebrities.
